Holdridge Trail Day Results
Thanks to Bob, Krug, Jim, Tony, and Ron for their efforts this past Saturday as we did some re-grading and a minor re-route to address erosion at the beginning of East Loop. That area is very sandy and difficult to find a firm tread for the re-worked trail. Overall, I think this will be a welcome improvement over the sandbox that was there.

UPDATE RE:*HOLDRIDGE TRAIL DAY* this Saturday Sept 11 9am-3pm
Hello All,
In case you were wondering where you stand with FAFL (First Across the Finish Line) hours for 2010, below is a fairly recent update. It’s not too late to get your 10 or more hours in, and feel good about giving back to the trail. If you are unclear about FAFL hours, it is the MMBA’s way of showing their appreciation by generally giving some small token for those that volunteer 10 or more hours.
This Saturday, Sept 11th is the last scheduled trail date for 2010. There will be some light trimming, installing and repairing some rolling grade dips, restoring the tread on some slopes to remove gorges and improve drainage. Depending on turnout and time restraints we may even paint the pavilion to match the DNR’s current color scheme. We will also be having hot dogs and chips so come out and socialize after the work is done.
I do not at the time of this posting have the hours for Ruby Campground.
Thank you, see you Saturday!

Trail Day Results
Thanks to Joe, George, Tony and Ron for working the trail day yesterday. We completed some trimming and raking on Orchard (10.5-12.5) and Meadows (8.5-9.5) loops. There is still some trimming left to do on Meadows and a few small spots that need some attention on North. Hopefully me and Ron will get those remaining spots in the next week or so.
